PAO, the father and sons trio of Karl, Tangaroa and Te Manea Teariki, blends Te Reo Māori with electronica for their second release ‘Te Manu’.

Karl is from Ngāti Kahungunu ki Heretaunga and his Hapū are Ngāti Hinemanu, Ngāti Poporo, Ngāti Pahauwera, Te Whanau ā Ruataupare, Ngāti Raina in Rarotonga and Ngātiarua in Mauke / Akatokamanava as well as ancestry from Raiatea, Tahiti and the Marquesas Islands, Te Henua Enata (the land of humans).

Tangaroa and Te Manea also descend from Ngā Puhi, Ngāti Toa and Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairarapa through their mother Vicky Wihongi.

Tangaroa and Te Manea have been sharing their vocal talents online through facebook, steadily building a base of listeners.
